this project sounds so exciting. I am not sure how we can nonlinear edit within a web browser, but even so, maybe each interested collaborator could take a chunk, download it to their local machine and edit together a 1st pass.

Then all those 1st pass segments get uploaded into a bin on a new page and when people are ready they can use those first pass videos to help begin 'sewing' their story together some 2-pass videos. Maybe even a 3rd pass edit based off of the 2-pass edits.

From there, those who can see things with a big trajectory can help assemble the pieces that tell the story in as big or small a scope as fits the moment. The content is alive, always, so as long as people are feeding off of it and contributing it back it will have life, have spirit.
