Phase 09: Gather Additional Multimedia Input from Volunteers

Intention

* Use OurMedia.org to facilitate multimedia submissions from volunteers to be included into The Echo Chamber documentary.
* Gather B-Roll from other volunteer filmmakers (background visuals without sound in order to add depth and context)
* Gather animation sequences from volunteers
* Provide questions to be asked for "Man-on-the-Street" interviews, and include other diverse perspectives on the website and film.
* Gather music licensed under Creative Commons to be included in the documentary.
* Develop a business model to take into account appropriate compensation for multimedia contributions.

What I have

* 75 hours of footage -- 40 hours of interviews and 35 hours of pre-war television news coverage

What I need

* Help with putting out the call for the various different types of submissions.
* Some feedback and institutional support from Creative Commons
* Screeners who can sift through submissions in order to pick out potentially relevant material.
* Feedback for which creative commons license would be best for original producer as well as for The Echo Chamber.
* Feedback on image release forms compliant with creative commons licenses
* Procedures for preventing copyright violations
