Romenesko links to a speech by Watergate co-reporter Carl Bernstein at Auburn University who said:

"The agenda of television is driving the agenda of news"

"Television, both local and national, is ceasing to serve the public"

The Echo Chamber Project is headed towards the same conclusion.

Bernstein also said that there is an "astonishing amount of untruth from the White House" and "We're not doing enough to report on the untruth." Again, this project intends to shine a spotlight on how the television media failed to unearth many of the untruths pouring out from the White House from August 26, 2002 to March 19th, 2003.
